Why this exists
A shelf for the physical era of games.
Cartridges are fragile objects — labels fade, shells crack, and small print runs disappear. Cartridge Index keeps a structured, public record of what exists: titles, platforms, regions and variants, including community ROM hacks, fan games and compilations that are easy to mistake for official releases.
Every record states plainly what it is and where it came from. Anything not yet verified is marked Unknown instead of being dressed up as fact.
House rules
- No ROMs. No game files, no download links, no mirrors.
- No commerce. Nothing here is for sale — no prices, no carts, no checkout.
- No pretending. Unverified data is labelled as such.
- Respect rights holders. Names and marks belong to their owners and are referenced only for documentation.
