About this game
R-Type DX collects several ways to play the series on a handheld. It includes monochrome and colour-enhanced versions of R-Type and R-Type II, together with a DX mode that links the two adventures. Players steer the R-9 through enemy formations and projectiles while gathering power-ups. A detachable support pod can fight alongside the ship or attach to its front or rear, making its placement part of surviving the stages and their bosses.
Archive notes
