About this game

The Vic Viper faces enemy formations and large bosses on a mission to protect Gradius from the Bacterions. Collect capsules and choose improvements to the ship, including speed, missiles and lasers. Managing those upgrades is as important as navigating the attacks.

Region notes

USA NTSC, catalog code NES-GR-USA. Regional year 1986 is taken from the cited physical-cartridge catalog record. Other country, revision and shell variants remain separate. Gameplay language is not inferred from the region.
