About this game

Incantation follows a young wizard on a quest to free a captured guardian and recover the Book of Sorcery from Necroman. Run and jump through the kingdom, search chests for spells, and gather corn needed to progress. Different spells suit different enemies, while teleporting crystal balls can reveal secret areas or lead into traps.

Region notes

The North American SNES instruction booklet is the gameplay reference. The exact cartridge printing and label for this record remain unverified. The existing archive identifier and year are retained catalogue values, not independently confirmed by this gameplay review.

Archive notes

Owner-provided image (iili.io image host). Gameplay reference: original North American Super NES instruction booklet — https://evercade.info/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Incantation-USA-.pdf The booklet supports the SNES gameplay described here. Its manual code does not authenticate a cartridge label. Imported provenance retained in the change record: https://famiwiki.net/wiki/List_of_Super_Nintendo_Entertainment_System_software The booklet gives conflicting corn quantities on printed pages 5 and 7. The introduction describes collection without asserting either number. No development credit is inferred from its publisher branding.
